Why Even Small Tech Companies Should Make Net Zero Commitments

August 4, 2025

At , we believe that climate action shouldn’t be limited to large corporations or heavy-emitting industries. In 2025, we publicly committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, aligning with global climate goals like Canada’s federal net-zero target.

We’re a digital-first Salesforce implementation partner with a small footprint—no delivery trucks, no factories, and a nearly paperless workflow. But we still generate emissions, largely through:

  • Cloud infrastructure and data storage
  • Employee commuting and remote work energy use
  • Business travel and digital tool usage

It’s easy for companies like ours to assume we don’t have a role to play because our impact is “low.” But when millions of small and mid-sized businesses take action, the cumulative impact is huge.

Our commitment means we’re now working to:

  • Measure our emissions with greater accuracy
  • Reduce them through better digital practices, remote policies, and clean energy awareness
  • Offset only where necessary, and only as a last step
  • Report progress transparently, starting with this initial commitment

Why It Matters

Committing to Net Zero isn’t about having all the answers today—it’s about setting a clear intention and a long-term goal. For us, it signals to our team, our partners, and our clients that sustainability matters, and we’re holding ourselves accountable.

We also see this as a way to drive innovation and efficiency. Climate-conscious thinking leads to smarter decisions about travel, infrastructure, energy use, and even vendor selection.

Whether you’re a 5-person startup or a global enterprise, the first step is simply making the commitment. From there, every small decision adds up.

At , we’re proud to be part of a growing community of companies saying: no footprint is too small to take responsibility.

How a Light Office Footprint Supports Our Sustainability Goals

July 28, 2025

operates primarily as a remote and distributed team, with one small office space that is used minimally and intentionally. This hybrid setup allows us to reduce our environmental impact while still supporting collaboration when needed.

Why this matters:

Traditional office environments often contribute to:

  • High energy use from heating, cooling, and lighting
  • Daily employee commuting
  • Paper waste and single-use supplies

By minimizing our in-office operations, we cut down significantly on these emissions. In fact, one of our largest remaining environmental contributors is now cloud infrastructure, which we’re actively reviewing to better understand its impact.

Even with remote work, sustainability isn’t automatic—it’s a choice. We encourage our team to adopt greener habits wherever they work, including:

  • Energy-efficient home office setups
  • Limiting unnecessary travel
  • Using digital tools over printed materials

Looking Ahead

We’re continuing to evaluate how our workplace model affects our carbon footprint and are exploring opportunities to further reduce our indirect emissions, including those from software, data use, and employee habits.

This isn’t just about lowering our impact—it’s about building a business that reflects our values. And one of those values is doing what we can, where we can, to support a healthier planet.

The Hidden Impact of Cloud Computing — and What We’re Doing About It

July 21, 2025

At , we rely on cloud-based tools every day—from Salesforce implementations to internal collaboration and client communications. Cloud computing enables us to work more efficiently and flexibly—but it’s easy to overlook the environmental impact behind it.

Wait—Isn’t the Cloud Emissions-Free?

Not quite. Every file stored, email sent, and automation triggered is processed by massive data centers, which consume significant amounts of electricity—often powered by non-renewable sources. Globally, cloud computing is estimated to account for around 2-3% of carbon emissions, and it’s growing fast.

As a digital-first company, we understand that while we don’t operate factories or fleets, our emissions are still real—just invisible.

How We’re Taking Responsibility

We’re currently in the early stages of identifying our cloud-related emissions and exploring how to:

  • Select low-impact tools that prioritize sustainability and efficiency
  • Limit unnecessary data processing and storage, which saves both money and emissions
  • Educate our team on how their digital habits—like file duplication, large email attachments, or always-on meetings—can quietly add up

A Mindset Shift

One of the biggest changes we’ve made is acknowledging that digital isn’t always cleaner by default. A remote-first model may reduce travel and office emissions, but the energy powering our tech stack still matters.

We’re committed to staying informed, adjusting our practices, and continuing to ask questions:

“How can we build smarter, more efficient systems—for our clients and for the planet?”

As cloud infrastructure becomes the backbone of business, we want to be among those leading the way toward cloud-conscious sustainability.

’s Net Zero Public Commitment

July 16, 2025

At , we recognize the importance of climate action — even for companies with minimal environmental footprints. As a remote-first technology firm, we have minimal office emissions and do not operate any vehicles. Our environmental impact is largely limited to cloud infrastructure and occasional travel, yet we are committed to doing our part.

We are publicly committing to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with international climate goals.

Our Goals and Strategies

  • Comprehensive Emissions Assessment: By 2026, we will complete a full inventory of Scope 1 (direct), Scope 2 (energy-related), and Scope 3 (value chain) emissions to establish a baseline.
  • Maintaining a Low Footprint: We will continue operating remotely and prioritize cloud service providers that utilize renewable energy and demonstrate transparent sustainability practices.
  • Offsetting Residual Emissions: By 2050, we will neutralize remaining emissions through high-quality carbon offset programs, such as reforestation and renewable energy projects.
  • Transparent Reporting: Starting in 2031, we will publish brief updates every five years on our website, summarizing our emissions baseline and offsetting activities to ensure transparency.

Our Commitment

is dedicated to embedding sustainability into our operations and making meaningful progress toward a net zero future.

Why Salesforce Agentforce is the Future for Windows and Doors Companies

At Cloud Solutions, we know that Windows and Doors companies operate in a high-stakes environment where customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and quick problem-solving can make or break your business. From handling custom order inquiries to resolving installation issues, your team needs tools that work as hard as they do. That’s where Salesforce Agentforce comes in—a cutting-edge, AI-powered solution designed to supercharge your customer service and streamline operations. Built on Salesforce’s robust platform, Agentforce empowers Windows and Doors businesses to tackle their toughest challenges with ease. Here’s why it’s a perfect match for your industry.

Delivering Instant, Accurate Answers to Complex Queries

Customers in the Windows and Doors space often have detailed, technical questions—think “What’s the U-factor of this double-hung window?” or “Can you customize this door for a non-standard frame?” Fielded by untrained staff or slow processes, these inquiries can lead to frustration and lost sales. Agentforce leverages AI to provide your team with instant, accurate responses. Its intelligent knowledge base pulls data from product catalogs, past interactions, and industry standards, so agents can confidently answer questions on the spot—whether it’s over the phone, email, or chat. For example, a contractor asking about lead times for a bulk order gets a precise answer in seconds, keeping the deal moving forward.

Automating Routine Tasks to Free Up Your Team

Windows and Doors companies deal with a flood of repetitive tasks: scheduling consultations, tracking order statuses, or following up on quotes. These eat up valuable time that your agents could spend on higher-value work, like upselling or solving complex issues. Agentforce automates these routines with AI-driven workflows. Picture this: a homeowner submits an online request for a window repair quote. Agentforce instantly logs it, assigns it to the right team member, and sends a confirmation—all without human intervention. Your agents stay focused on what matters, boosting productivity and customer satisfaction.

Resolving Issues Faster with Smart Case Management

When something goes wrong—like a delayed shipment or a misinstalled patio door—customers expect quick resolutions. Without the right tools, tracking down details across systems can turn a small hiccup into a big headache. Agentforce’s smart case management uses AI to prioritize and route issues efficiently. If a builder reports a scratched window delivery, Agentforce analyzes the case, pulls order history, and suggests next steps—like expediting a replacement—before the agent even picks up the phone. This speed and proactivity turn potential complaints into loyalty-building moments.

Personalizing Customer Interactions at Scale

Every customer—whether a DIY homeowner or a large-scale contractor—wants to feel valued, but personalizing service across hundreds of accounts is no small feat. Agentforce makes it possible by integrating with Salesforce’s 360-degree customer view. It equips agents with insights like past purchases (e.g., “They ordered cedar doors last year”) or preferences (“They prefer email updates”). When a repeat buyer calls about adding windows to a project, the agent can suggest matching styles or offer a loyalty discount on the spot. This tailored approach strengthens relationships and drives repeat business, critical in the Windows and Doors market.

Scaling Support During Peak Seasons

Seasonal rushes—like spring remodels or fall energy-efficiency upgrades—can overwhelm your support team, leading to long hold times and frustrated customers. Agentforce scales effortlessly with demand, blending AI self-service options with human expertise. Customers can check order statuses or troubleshoot minor issues via a chatbot powered by Agentforce, while complex cases seamlessly escalate to live agents with full context. For instance, a homeowner wondering about a delayed window installation can get an instant update online, freeing agents to handle a contractor’s urgent bulk order inquiry. This balance keeps service levels high, even under pressure.

Empowering Agents with Real-Time Insights

Your team isn’t just answering calls—they’re your frontline for sales and retention. Agentforce enhances their impact with real-time coaching and recommendations. During a call, it might prompt an agent to upsell a window maintenance plan based on the customer’s order history, or suggest a workaround for a supply chain delay. For a Windows and Doors company, this means every interaction becomes an opportunity to add value, turning service calls into revenue drivers.

Why and Salesforce Agentforce?

At Cloud Solutions, we’re experts at tailoring Salesforce to the Windows and Doors industry. We understand your pain points—complex products, tight timelines, and high customer expectations—and know how to make Agentforce work for you. Our team will integrate it with your existing systems, train your staff, and customize it to fit your unique needs, whether you’re a manufacturer, distributor, or installer. With and Agentforce, you’ll deliver standout service that sets you apart.

The Bottom Line

Salesforce Agentforce is more than a customer service tool—it’s a competitive edge for Windows and Doors companies. By speeding up responses, automating grunt work, resolving issues smarter, and personalizing interactions, it tackles the industry’s biggest service challenges head-on. The result? Happier customers, empowered agents, and a stronger bottom line. Partner with Cloud Solutions to bring Agentforce into your business and redefine what great service looks like. Yet, disjointed systems and manual processes often lead to delays, errors, and frustrated customers. That’s where Salesforce Service Cloud comes in—a robust platform designed to streamline service operations and elevate customer satisfaction. Here’s why it’s a game-changer for your Windows and Doors business.

Centralizing Customer Interactions for Faster Service

Customers—whether homeowners, contractors, or builders—expect quick, informed responses to their questions. But when data is scattered across emails, spreadsheets, and sticky notes, agents waste time piecing it together. Service Cloud brings everything into one platform with a 360-degree customer view. Imagine a homeowner calling about a delayed window delivery: the agent instantly sees their order history, communication log, and shipping status, resolving the issue in one call instead of three. For Windows and Doors companies, this centralized hub cuts response times and builds trust with every interaction.

Streamlining Case Management for Complex Issues

The Windows and Doors industry is full of unique challenges—like a mismeasured frame or a damaged door shipment—that require swift, accurate resolutions. Service Cloud’s intelligent case management automates routing and prioritization, ensuring issues land with the right team fast. For example, if a contractor reports a defective batch of sliding doors, Service Cloud assigns it to your quality team with all the details attached—photos, order number, and customer notes—reducing back-and-forth and speeding up solutions. This efficiency turns potential headaches into opportunities to shine.

Empowering Field Service with Real-Time Tools

Installation and repairs are the backbone of your business, but coordinating field teams can be a logistical nightmare. Service Cloud’s Field Service Lightning feature equips technicians with mobile access to schedules, customer details, and inventory data. Picture this: a tech arrives to install custom windows, sees the job specs on their phone, and notices a last-minute change to the glazing type. They confirm stock availability in real time and complete the job without delay. For Windows and Doors companies, this means fewer missed appointments, happier customers, and a more productive workforce.

Scaling Support with Self-Service Options

During peak seasons—like spring remodels or winter prep—call volumes spike, overwhelming your team. Service Cloud’s self-service portal and knowledge base let customers help themselves. A homeowner wondering how to clean their new vinyl windows can find a step-by-step guide online, while a contractor can check an order status without calling. These tools reduce agent workload, letting them focus on complex cases—like troubleshooting an installation snag—while keeping service levels high across the board.

Boosting Loyalty with Proactive Follow-Ups

Winning a sale is just the start; keeping customers coming back is where growth lives. Service Cloud makes it easy to stay connected post-purchase. Automated workflows can trigger a follow-up email after an installation, asking for feedback or offering care tips. If a customer reports a minor issue—like a sticky window latch—Service Cloud tracks it and prompts a courtesy check-in a week later. For Windows and Doors companies, these proactive touches show you care, turning one-time buyers into loyal advocates who recommend you to others.

Turning Service into a Sales Opportunity

Your service team isn’t just solving problems—they’re in prime position to upsell and cross-sell. Service Cloud’s integration with sales data gives agents visibility into opportunities. For instance, when a homeowner calls about a window repair, the agent sees they own an older home and suggests energy-efficient upgrades with a special offer. This seamless pivot from service to sales drives revenue without feeling pushy, a win-win for Windows and Doors businesses looking to maximize every customer touchpoint.

Why Salesforce Revenue Cloud is a Game-Changer for Windows and Doors Companies

At , we understand the unique challenges Windows and Doors companies face in today’s competitive market. From complex quoting processes to managing fluctuating demand and ensuring timely delivery, the industry is full of operational hurdles that can slow growth and frustrate customers. That’s where Salesforce, and specifically its Revenue Cloud, comes in as a transformative solution. Built to streamline revenue management and enhance customer experiences, Revenue Cloud empowers Windows and Doors businesses to overcome common pain points and unlock new opportunities. Here’s why it’s the perfect fit for your company.

Tackling Complex Quoting and Pricing Challenges

One of the biggest headaches for Windows and Doors companies is generating accurate quotes quickly. With custom sizes, materials, finishes, and installation options, pricing can get complicated fast. Manual processes or outdated systems often lead to errors, delays, and lost sales. Salesforce Revenue Cloud’s Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) functionality solves this by automating the quoting process. It allows your sales team to configure products, apply dynamic pricing, and generate professional quotes in minutes—not hours. For example, a customer requesting a custom bay window with specific glazing options can receive an accurate quote on the spot, boosting your team’s efficiency and impressing clients with speed and precision.

Streamlining Order Management

Once a sale is made, the next challenge is ensuring orders move smoothly from approval to production to delivery. Windows and Doors companies often struggle with siloed teams and manual order entry, leading to miscommunication and delays. Revenue Cloud integrates sales, operations, and finance into a single platform, creating a seamless flow from quote to cash. Automated order management eliminates duplicate data entry and reduces errors—like shipping the wrong window size or missing a delivery deadline. With real-time visibility into order status, your team can keep customers informed and production on track, enhancing trust and satisfaction.

Handling Fluctuating Demand and Inventory

The Windows and Doors industry is no stranger to seasonal peaks and supply chain disruptions. Managing inventory and forecasting demand can feel like a guessing game, resulting in overstocked warehouses or missed sales due to shortages. Revenue Cloud provides actionable insights through its analytics and dashboards, helping you monitor sales trends and inventory levels in real time. For instance, if demand for energy-efficient sliding doors spikes, you can adjust production and stock accordingly. This agility ensures you’re prepared for market shifts, reducing waste and maximizing revenue potential.

Enhancing Customer Experience

In a competitive market, customer experience can make or break a deal. Windows and Doors buyers—whether contractors, builders, or homeowners—expect fast responses, transparency, and personalized service. Revenue Cloud enhances the buyer journey by enabling self-service options and seamless channel transitions. Customers can start configuring their order online, tweak it with a sales rep over the phone, and finalize it without losing progress. Plus, with a 360-degree view of customer interactions, your team can upsell complementary products—like matching door hardware—based on past purchases, fostering loyalty and increasing order value.

Accelerating Revenue Growth

Missed opportunities and inefficiencies often eat into profits for Windows and Doors companies. Revenue Cloud helps you capture new revenue streams by simplifying subscription models (e.g., maintenance plans) or consumption-based pricing for bulk orders. Its automation cuts down on manual tasks—like invoicing or contract adjustments—freeing your team to focus on selling. For example, a contractor ordering windows for multiple projects can receive a tailored subscription plan for ongoing support, turning a one-time sale into a recurring revenue source. This flexibility not only boosts your bottom line but also positions your business as innovative and customer-centric.

Why Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a Must-Have for Windows and Doors Companies

Why Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a Must-Have for Windows and Doors Companies

At Cloud Solutions, we know that Windows and Doors companies face unique marketing challenges. Whether you’re targeting homeowners for residential upgrades, contractors for bulk orders, or builders for large-scale projects, reaching the right audience with the right message at the right time can feel overwhelming. Add in the complexities of seasonal demand, diverse customer needs, and fragmented tools, and it’s clear why marketing in this industry requires a smarter approach. Enter Salesforce Marketing Cloud—a powerful platform that transforms how Windows and Doors businesses connect with customers, build loyalty, and drive sales. Here’s why it’s a game-changer.

Personalizing Campaigns for Diverse Audiences

Windows and Doors companies serve a wide range of customers: DIY homeowners looking for a single replacement window, contractors needing bulk orders, and developers outfitting entire buildings. Generic marketing blasts won’t cut it. Salesforce Marketing Cloud’s advanced segmentation and personalization tools let you tailor campaigns to each audience. For example, you can send a promotional email about energy-efficient windows to eco-conscious homeowners while offering contractors a discount on bulk door hardware. With real-time data and AI-driven insights, Marketing Cloud ensures your messages resonate, increasing engagement and conversion rates.

Automating the Customer Journey

Keeping prospects engaged from awareness to purchase is tough, especially when manual follow-ups eat up time. Marketing Cloud’s Journey Builder automates the entire customer journey, delivering timely, relevant touchpoints. Imagine a homeowner who downloads your “Window Buying Guide” from your website. Marketing Cloud can automatically send a follow-up email with design inspiration, a week later offer a free consultation, and finally nudge them with a limited-time discount—all without lifting a finger. For Windows and Doors companies, this means more leads nurtured into sales, even during busy seasons.

Managing Seasonal Campaigns with Ease

The Windows and Doors industry thrives on seasonality—spring renovations, summer installations, and winter prep specials. Planning and executing these campaigns across email, social media, and SMS can be chaotic with disjointed tools. Marketing Cloud centralizes your efforts, letting you schedule and track multi-channel campaigns in one place. Want to promote a “Winterize Your Home” deal? Create a cohesive campaign that hits inboxes, Facebook feeds, and text messages simultaneously, with analytics to show what’s working. This streamlined approach saves time and maximizes ROI when demand peaks.

Building Trust with Consistent Messaging

Inconsistent branding or communication can erode trust, especially for customers investing in high-value products like windows and doors. Marketing Cloud ensures every interaction—whether an email, ad, or landing page—reflects your brand’s voice and values. Its content management tools make it easy to create templates for product launches (like a new line of patio doors) that your team can reuse across channels. For instance, a contractor seeing your ad on LinkedIn will get the same polished experience as a homeowner browsing your website, reinforcing reliability and professionalism.

Turning Data into Actionable Insights

Understanding what drives sales—whether it’s a specific product line or a campaign tactic—can be a guessing game without the right data. Marketing Cloud’s robust analytics and reporting give you a clear picture of customer behavior. See which email subject line got the most opens for your “Spring Window Sale” or which social ad led to a spike in quote requests. For a Windows and Doors company, this means you can double down on what works—like targeting builders with case studies—and ditch what doesn’t, optimizing your budget and efforts.

Strengthening Customer Loyalty

Winning a sale is just the beginning—repeat business and referrals are where growth happens. Marketing Cloud helps you stay connected post-purchase with loyalty campaigns. Send a thank-you email after an installation with care tips for new windows, followed by a survey to gather feedback. Later, offer a referral discount or a maintenance plan upsell. For example, a homeowner who bought sliding doors could receive a personalized offer for matching window treatments a few months later, turning a one-time buyer into a lifelong customer.

Why and Salesforce Marketing Cloud?

At Cloud Solutions, we’re experts at adapting Salesforce to the Windows and Doors industry. We understand your marketing pain points—from fragmented customer data to time-sensitive campaigns—and know how to leverage Marketing Cloud to solve them. Our team will set you up with a customized solution that integrates seamlessly with your existing systems, ensuring you hit the ground running. Whether you’re a manufacturer, distributor, or installer, we’ll help you harness Marketing Cloud to stand out in a crowded market.

The Bottom Line

Salesforce Marketing Cloud empowers Windows and Doors companies to market smarter, not harder. By personalizing outreach, automating journeys, unifying campaigns, and leveraging data, it tackles the industry’s toughest marketing challenges head-on. The result? Stronger customer relationships, higher conversions, and a brand that shines. Partner with Cloud Solutions to unlock the full potential of Marketing Cloud and take your marketing to the next level.
